1) Max Havelaar Quality Label:

Max Havelaar stands for fair trade with farming cooperatives and plantations. This includes among other things:

• fair prices to cover costs of production

• guaranteed minimum wages for workers

• fair trade premium for the realisation of community projects

• as well as long-term trade relations

Products are grown in accordance with strict standards (social and environmental) to guarantee premium quality.

Kiliflora was certified by the  Max Havelaar  Fair Trade Label in April 2003. The Kiliflora Worker's Development Fund is driven by the work force and managed by  an active Joint Body.

2) Flower Label programme (FLP) :

FLP sets social and environmental standards and ensures following the principles of International Code of Conduct.

The Flower Label Program sets standards of human rights and environmental protection for flower farms to follow in the areas, viz:

1) Freedom of association

(the freedom for workers to form trade unions).
2) Prohibition of child labour and forced labour.
3) Proper employment contracts and above-average social and      working conditions.
4) Health safeguards and a secure working environment.
5) Responsible attitude towards natural resources and the environment.
6) Non-use of toxic pesticides and chemicals.

3) MPS (Mileau programma Sierteelt)

( Floriculture Environment Programme) :

Kiliflora is a member of the MPS and has  been certified by MPS Mind and MPS Socially Qualified schemes. In Kiliflora there is strict control on fertilizers, chemicals, water and energy used and waste disposed  in the farm.

The MPS certificates ensure that Kiliflora conforms to International Standards of environmental protection, health, safety and welfare of employees.

MPS-GAP Certificate awarded to Kiliflora  vouch for the fact that Good Agriculture Practice is followed in the farm.
